The St Barnabas Summer Proms 2013 were held from Saturday July 20th to Friday August 9th 2013, with 12 concerts - 10 evening and 2 lunchtime concerts, ending with a 'Last Night of the Proms' Gala Concert on Friday August 9th.
This was our 4th series, following successful Proms in 2008-2010. The emphasis was on popular classics played by well-known musicians, providing perfect entertainment for summer evenings in Ealing. Concerts were held 'in the round', with the piano and musicians in the centre of the nave, so everyone was reasonably close to the performers. We have a superb Bosendorfer concert grand, used by the BBC at Maida Vale studios for broadcasts, and a state-of-the-art projection system and big screen so that everyone can see the musicians at close quarters.
